Spice Market

Here is what I have been working on this month.  It's a quilt for my step-son, Ryan, who is a single dad with 4 kids.  He recently bought himself a new bedroom set, and I think a new "just-for-him" quilt would be a great Christmas gift!

The quilt is called "Spice Market" and it's a "stash buster" project!  You may recognize fabric from my cowboy quilt, the deer quilt, the pineapple quilt. VERY easy--no seams or points to match.  The colors remind me of turkey feathers.  Browns, golds, coppers, grays, I added some greens for accent.  I love this quilt (I love them all, don't I!)  Here's my progress:  I need 80 blocks and I have about 50.

It will have black setting triangles, and I haven't decided on if I will add a border or not.  The pattern doesn't include one.  I will have to see how big this is when I stop making blocks!
